MALAYALAM FILM FRATERNITY UNITES FOR OZHIVU DIVASATHE KALI

Ozhivu Divasathe Kali, the movie that won the Kerala State Film Award for the best film in 2015 is all set to release today, the 17th June in Kerala. The movie directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, is based on the story written by popular writer Unni R. Unni R had also won the Kerala State Award for best screenplay in 2015 for the Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy starrer Charlie.

Ozhivu Divasathe Kali has been screened and recognized at various international film festivals and was unanimously lauded by celebrities for its unique film making style. The movie has a total of 70 shots in the second half being confined to a single shot. Popular film maker Ashique Abu took up the distribution of the movie as a support to quality cinema. The Malayalam film fraternity has backed Ashique Abu in his attempt to save quality cinema from drowning into the tagline of Award Cinema and ending up not getting theaters. Megastar Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly and Fahadh Faasil extended their support to the movie through their official Facebook Page and urged everyone to watch the movie in theaters.
