''THEATRE TICKET PRICES SHOULD BE INCREASED''

The Film Exhibitors Association of T.T (Trichy, Tanjore) area, has officially issued a press statement about the final decisions that were made after an important meeting with the members on GST and municipality taxation.
The press note is as follows:
"After the announcement of shutting down of theatres came up from the Theatres Association, we had an emergency meeting, and we arrived at these four points.
1. Objecting and opposing Tamil Nadu State Government's municipality tax of 30%
2. To increase the theatre entrance ticket prices, which has not been revised or changed for the past ten years.
3. To reduce GST from 28% to a lower percentage.
4. On the basis of One Nation - One Tax, only one tax amount should be payable."
