Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsOne of the most-anticipated upcoming movies is Valimai that features Ajith Kumar in the lead role. The film was supposed to hit the big screens this Pongal but it got postponed due to the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
The biggie is all set to hit the theatres on February 24, 2022. Directed by H. Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, Valimai also features Huma Qureshi as the leading lady and Kartikeya Gummakonda will be seen as the antagonist. The promotions for the movie is going on full swing!
Ajith will be seen playing an upright cop. Valimai also marks the actor-director duo's second project under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner post the 2019 courtroom drama 'Nerkonda Paarvai'. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja while the camera is cranked by DOP Nirav Shah.
It is learnt that not just Yuvan but music director Ghibran too have contributed to the film. Wondering how? Yes, Valimai is mixed in 11.1 surrounds, which in turn adds more layers of speakers, making one experience extremely the BEST theatrical atmosphere. For the unversed, Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam too had this 11.1 in Auro3D. Stay tuned!
