“THIS WAS A PAN-INDIA MOVIE THAT HAD TOURED IN IMPORTANT…” - AN ELATED NIVIN PAULY SHARES!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsEveryone loved the fierce and energetic Prakashan in Malarvadi Arts Club, and from then on, no one failed to notice the charisma of the man who played that role - Nivin Pauly. With his stunning expressions and timing dialogue delivery, the actor had covered the masses and has been keeping them engaged for a decade now.
Now when it’s been 10 years since the actor debuted in 2009, 2019 had been quite an eventful one for the impressive artist. Nivin Pauly had two best releases this year- Love Action Drama and Moothon. Love Action Drama was an out-and-out fun family movie directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan in his debut. This feel-good movie featured Nayanthara as the leading lady and released during Onam (5 September 2019).
In quite a shocking contrast to the character of Dinesh in Love Action Drama, Moothon featured Nivin in a roguish grim character that had striking shades of a ruffian. Written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie is a brilliant, sitting-on-the-edge film that surprises and shocks you at the same time. Now what makes Nivin Pauly stand out in Moothon is his portraying of two starkly different roles of Akbar and Bhai.
From shedding his next-door boy image to coming out with a spectacular performance in Moothon, Nivin Pauly has redefined his acting skills. With Moothon receiving many accolades at Toronto International Film Festival and Mumbai Film Festival, critics across the country have praised Nivin’s awe-inspiring performance in the film. Talking to Behindwoods about this, Nivin Pauly mentioned, "This year had been quite a momentous one with Love Action Drama and Moothon. Love Action Drama was a family entertainer festival release. In contrast, Moothon was a Pan-India movie that had toured in important Film Festivals. Receiving the Behindwoods Gold Medal for Moothon was the first award for Moothon which is sure to be memorable!"
With a defining conclusion with 2 smashing hits this year, Nivin Pauly is a happy man. "I hope 2020 will also be a similarly gratifying year, and I wish the very best to all my friends, colleagues and fans." Nivin Pauly will next be seen in Padavettu which will be directed by Liju Krishna and produced by Sunny Wayne under the banner of Sunny Wayne Productions and Rajiv Ravi’s Thuramukham which is seen as an ambitious project.
