Naai Sekar has massive expectations pinned on it from the day of its trailer release. And the trailer guaranteed that the film will be an out and out laugh riot. But fans were really looking forward to the romantic blocks between the actors Sathish and Pavithra.

Debutant Kishore Rajkumar directed a kids-centric movie where the plot revolves around a man who was bitten by a dog and started behaving like a dog. The lead actor Sathish’s quirky mannerisms and Mirchi Shiva's voiceover for the Dog’s are special attractions to the audience. The voice of actor Mirchi Shiva helped in striking a chord with the audience.

Upon its release in theatres on the occasion of Pongal, the film indeed received huge applause from audiences. Music director Ajesh provided amazing songs along with the background score. But one song from the movie was scored by Anirudh with Actor Sivakarthikeyan as the Lyricist.
