MOHANLAL'S BIG ASSOCIATION IN KABALI!

Maxlab Releases, is the distribution wing of Ashirwad cinemas owned by actor Mohanlal and producer Antony Perumbavur. They have purchased the rights to distribute Superstar Rajinikant's Kabali in Kerala. Many popular distribution companies were in the race, but Mohanlal emerged victorious after a close competition. The record for the highest amount paid by a distributor for a Tamil movie in Kerala currently belongs to Vijay's Theri which was purchased for 5.6 crores.

Kabali is the first non-Mohanlal movie to be distributed by Ashirwad Cinemas and the amount is rumored to have surpassed Theri's. With Mohanlal and Ashirwad in the picture, Kabali is expected to get 200+ theaters in Kerala.
