WILL MOHANLAL'S 1971 BEYOND BORDERS BREAK THE KERALA BO FIRST DAY COLLECTION RECORD?

Mohanlal is, without doubt, the biggest star Malayalam Cine Industry has ever seen. His recent films have crossed the barriers of languages and become hits even outside Kerala. His movie Pulimurugan is the biggest success Malayalam cinema has seen and the movie collected over 150 crores.

Pulimurugan was the biggest Malayalam grosser in Kerala on the first day with a gross collection of 4.05 crores till March 30th, 2017. This record was surpassed by Megastar Mammootty's 'The Great Father' which collected more than 4.31 crores from Kerala Box Office on the day of release. The Great Father was released in 202 screens with 958 shows (including night shows) in Kerala, and Mohanlal fans sternly believe that if 1971 Beyond Borders gets at least 180+ screens, it will break that record. 1971 Beyond Borders is a war movie directed by Major Ravi which will release on April 7, 2017.
