Mohan Raja will direct the Telugu remake of Lucifer with Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, being referred to as Chiru 153. The original starred Mohanlal in the lead and was directed by Prithviraj and was a huge draw at the box office. The film may not be a scene by scene remake with Mohan Raja weaving his own magic and will commence shooting in January 2021. NV Prasad Under NVR Cinema and Konidela Production will jointly produce the film.

Chiranjeevi is at present shooting for Koratala Siva’s Acharya in which he’s paired opposite Kajal Aggarwal. Shooting commenced recently.
It is rumoured that Chiranjeevi has a dual role in Acharya. The grapevine has it that the film will be about a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who launches a fight against the Endowments Department over misappropriation and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.
It is an interesting combo, we must add. A Tamil director doing a remake of a Malayalam film with a Telugu star in the lead. Can't wait to watch them team up soon! Watch this space for more interesting updates!
