Chanakyan is the Tamil dubbed version of Malayalam film Masterpiece starring Mammootty and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles. It is directed by Ajai Vasudev and produced by CH Muhammed under the banner Royal Cinemas.

The film also stars Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Gokul Suresh, Maqbool Salman, Lena, and Poonam Bajwa.

The film is about Edward Livingston, an English professor at the Travancore Maharaja College. As the defiant students continue to split into warring factions, Livingston sets out to restore order and make the campus a better place for everyone.
