Bollywood actress Malvi Malhotra was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after being reportedly stabbed multiple times by producer Yogesh Kumar who was angered that she turned down his marriage proposal.
The actress was reportedly stabbed four times in the stomach with a knife. Media reports say that Malvi stepped out of her house on Monday night, October 26, when the producer came in front of the actress and allegedly tried to engage her in conversation.
However, Malvi desisted speaking to him, Yogesh pulled out a knife and attacked her by stabbing her four times. He fled the scene thereafter in his car.
"Malvi stepped out of her house on Monday night when Yogesh Kumar came in an Audi came in front of the actress and tried to talk to her. When Malvi refused to talk to him, he attacked her with a sharp knife, not once, not twice but four times. Seeing the people present at the scene, the producer escaped in the car," sources told Peepingmoon.com.
Malvi in 2019 had told the police that Yogesh apparently sent her a friend request on Facebook. In January this year, he had also asked her to do a video album with him. Following this, the actress even met him twice at a coffee shop. Yogesh then proposed to her for marriage but the actress blocked him from every social media platform.
Now, the latest in the case is that the actress has undergone plastic surgery. She was quoted as saying: "After my meeting which happened at a cafe in Seven Bungalows (Andheri), I was walking back home since my home is just 5 minutes away from that coffee shop. Suddenly, Yogesh came in a car and said that I should talk to him and why I was avoiding him. I told him to stop the tamasha. Instead, he got down from the car and stabbed me in my stomach. Next, he wanted to injure my face.
"I kept my hand on the face to avoid any injuries but his knife went deep into my right hand and wounded it badly. The fingers region in my left hand also got inflicted with bruises. I went down on the ground as I had started to bleed profusely," she continued.
"I think it will take 2-3 months before I am alright. Right now, the fingers of my left hand are not moving. The knife incision in my stomach was about 1.5 inches."
