Following this, Madan's wife Kiruthika was arrested and questioned by the police for acting as the channel's administrator. Meanwhile, the court did not accept the petition filed by Madan in the Chennai High Court seeking pre-bail. Madan, who was hiding in Dharmapuri, has been arrested. He is said to be brought to Chennai soon to be questioned.

Madan had earlier filed a petition in the Chennai High Court, seeking bail in the case. When the petition came up for hearing before Judge M Thandapani, the lawyer appearing for Madan had argued that the case was registered on a complaint filed by fellow industry competitors and that no ‘victim’ had come forward to register a complaint.

The Chennai High Court said that Madan's speeches are too bad to be heard and has instructed the advocate appearing in the pre-bail case to come and argue after hearing the speeches laced with vulgarity. Now, it has come to be known that his bail petition has been rejected.
