WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CASE AGAINST SURIYA AND OTHERS?

Readers may recall that a court in Ooty had issued a non-bailable warrant against Suriya, Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Cheran, Vijayakumar, Vivek, Arun Vijay and Sripriya a couple of months ago. This was in connection with a defamation case filed by a senior journalist for their allegedly derogatory speech in 2009 for which they had failed to appear before the court.
The latest news we have on this issue is that the Honorable High Court of Madras has quashed the case against these actors.
