Maa is a tamil short film about teenage pregnancy directed by Sarjun K.M. It was critically acclaimed because of the performances of Kani Kusruti and Anikha of Viswasam fame. The movie was backed by Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment.
Kani Kusruti has now starred in a movie called Thadayam. Written and directed by Dhamayanthi, a famous writer, this movie is produced through crowdfunding. The male lead for the film is debutant Ganapathy Murugesan.
There is a unique filmmaking involved in this project. It’s that the entire movie is a single scene of the hero meeting the heroine. A woman who has not known love properly gets to feel it through a man. The event where the two of them meet is the entire movie.
Praveen Bhaskar is the editor of this movie that has music composed by debutant Justin Kenanya. This movie is set to hit screens soon. We will have to wait and see how the team has woven a single scene to a complete movie. It must be noted that Sarjun KM is the director of Nayanthara's Airaa releasing in theatres on March 28.
