LATEST: FRIENDS ACTOR LISA KUDROW’S OFFICIAL WORD ON SPECIAL REUNION EPISODE GOES VIRAL!

This year, it was officially announced that a reunion episode will be happening, in the new streaming platform HBO Max and as part of the promotions, all of the cast members also shared the official poster on their social media accounts. However, the fans’ happiness was cut short by the pandemic. The filming of the unscripted one-off episode had been put on hold until COVID19 outbreak came to a fair halt.

Recently, a few reports surfaced that popular TV host Ellen Degeneres will be hosting the reunion episode and this really got the fans excited. Actress Lisa Kudrow, who played ‘Phoebe’ in the show has now opened up about the possibilities of Ellen hosting the show and the prospective dates for filming, in a recent interaction with Andy Cohen on the SiriusXM show. 

Lisa Kudrow said “I don’t know. I don’t know that that’s been decided,” addressing the rumours surrounding Ellen coming onboard. Speaking about the reunion episode, Lisa said “Well, I think we're going to sit around like a really nice restaurant, and have your host and start screaming at each other … No, that's not, I don't know. I can't say.”

Hinting about the filming of the episode, Lisa said “Unfortunately it’s very sad that we had to move it again. It was, 'How do we do this with live audiences?' This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it." She also added at the time saying, "It’s going to be super. I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed. Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life guys.”
