LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT FOR PANCHU ARUNACHALAM

In Behindwoods Gold Medals, we have an exalted category called the Lifetime Achievement. In this year’s edition, we honored the veteran Panchu Arunachalam for his contribution to Tamil cinema. The prestigious medal was presented by Padmabhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, a legend in the field of classical Hindustani Music and a mentor to numerous senior and junior Indian musicians including AR Rahman, Asha Bhosle, Hariharan and Sonu Nigam.
 

Panchu Arunachalam has worn many hats as a writer, producer and lyricist. He has penned lyrics for more than 200 films.
