'Saani Kaayidham' is a film directed by Rocky director Arun Matheswaran and features Selvaraghavan. Arun was the Assistant Director to Director Thiyagaraja Kumararaja. This is Selvaraghavan's debut as an actor. Filming for the film was completed a few months ago. Post-production work on the film is currently underway. The movie is set to release on May 6.

The posters of this film were released and received good response. Through the posters the film was expected to be an action film similar to Rocky. The film is said to have developed into a crime drama based on real events of the late 80s. Actress Keerthy Suresh, who plays the lead role in the film, often shared pictures and updates about the film. It has been reported that Keerthy Suresh will play Selvaragavan's younger sister in the film.

The teaser of this film was released recently and attracted a lot of attention. Following this, the trailer of the film has been released online today in both Tamil and Telugu. Released in the tone of action films in tight color, this trailer features a lot of violent scenes. The trailer begins with the investigation into the murders done by Selvaraghavan, who plays the role of Sangaiah, and Keerthi, who plays the role of Ponni. Like the Rocky, the trailer shows that this is a movie made for action movie lovers.
