A THIRD TIME CLASH WITH VIJAY?

Vishal's Kaththi Sandai was first being planned to release for Diwali, but then it eventually got postponed to November 18th. Unfortunately, due to the demonetization issue that the whole nation is facing, the makers decided to push the release date from November 18th.
 

Later, Vishal announced that the film will not release in the month of November. Cameo Films India, one of the distributors of Kaththi Sandai, had tweeted a picture yesterday (21st Nov) about the film's release, which read, "We made Kaththi Sandai with the aim of entertaining Tamil audience world over. But given the current situation, we find it unjust to release the film while thousands of people suffer in the money crisis. We have decided to postpone the film until people are back on their feet and functioning. Vishal fans and Tamil cinema audience all over, please support us in this decision of ours. We promise you that when we release, it'll be a complete treat to all kinds of audience. Thank you! Team Kaththi Sandai."

Going by this tweet, we are uncertain about the film's release date. Films like Maaveeran Kittu, Saithan, Chennai 600028: Second Innings, S3, Bogan, Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga, Taramani, Kavan and Motta Siva Ketta Siva are planned to release in the month of December. So, it is not known if Vishal would also plan to have Kaththi Sandai's release in December.

There are chances of this film, being pushed to release for Pongal 2017, because other than Vijay's Bairavaa, no other films have targetted the Pongal festival as of now. Kaththi Sandai is touted to be a family entertainer, and if it happens to release in the five-day festive weekend, there is a good hope for the film to be a commercial success.

It should be noted that Vishal has already had two box office clashes with Vijay (Pokkiri - Thamirabarani) and (Kaththi - Poojai) and it wouldn't be a surprise if Kaththi Sandai happens to release along with Bairavaa.
