ACCLAIMED PRODUCER CRIES ON STAGE: 'THE FILM WAS A HUGE LOSS, I LOST EVERYTHING.."
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsProducer, screenwriter and director CV Kumar had produced many acclaimed features such as Attakathi, Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum under his banner Thirukumaran Entertainment, that launched the careers of many celebrated directors of modern-day Tamil cinema such as Karthik Subbaraj, Nalan Kumarasamy, Pa. Ranjith and actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak to name a few.
Recently, at the audio launch function of his upcoming production Titanic: Kadhalum Kavundhu Pogum directed by Janakiraman, the actor said that the film is about romance at different stages of life. The 'Gangs of Madras' director was upbeat about the film's success even while he read the script, as it reminded him of the yesteryear Pandiyarajan-directed classic Aan Paavam.
In the course of his speech, CV Kumar spoke about his penchant for risk taking "I like taking risks right from a young age, because those who are willing to live a safer life will never progress and they will tend to get stagnant. Risk has two prospects, either you will gain big or lose everything, only those who knew that will take one.
My father taught me these values, and he is no more." CV Kumar broke down for a moment, and continued "He gave me so much courage in life. Maayavan was a huge loss and I lost everything. My mother and wife were searching me and when I went home. My father was the one who told 'How can he be responsible for that. He is talented, will come over it'."
Titanic stars Kalaiyarasan, Ashna Zaveri and Anandhi in lead roles. With music composed by Nivas K. Prasanna, the album is officially out.
