Actor Karthi was last seen as the lead in the 2019 Romantic drama Dev. The actor has currently signed up for a slew of projects, including the Lokesh Kanagaraj directed Kaithi and an untitled project directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Meanwhile, the actor issued an important statement on Twitter.
Rumour was abuzz that the actor will be seen campaigning for a political party for the upcoming 2019 General elections. The Kadaikutty Singam star has outrightly denied it and took to Twitter to issue dispel these rumours.

The actor has termed the allegations as baseless in his official twitter handle. The Lok Sabha election is scheduled on April 18th, 2019 in Tamil Nadu.
