Kamal Hassan will be next seen in Shankar’s Indian 2 produced by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. The movie’s first look posters were released a few days back and shooting had already begun.
Meanwhile, Kamal has posted song lyrics from ‘Marudhanayagam’. He had posted the song lyrics stating that Kamal and Ilayaraja had written lyrics for the song which talks about the social backlashes that happened 300 years ago.
Ponparappi is a village near Ariyalur district which recently witnessed a hate crime, during the election polling, against Dalit people whose houses, vehicle were damaged and people were injured. Kamal has stated in his tweet that it is a shame that the lyrics of the song still match our current social scenario.

Kamal’s lyrics roughly translates the talks about how horrific it is that people are fighting in the name of caste and creed with rage. Marudhanayagam is probably one of the most expected period films by Kamal Hassan which has been dropped due to various issues. If it gets made completely and released, it will be a great news for the fans and audiences.
