INDIAN 2 SHOOTING ACCIDENT: KAMAL HAASAN, SHANKAR LEND HELPING HAND WITH HUGE COMPENSATION OF 4 CRORES!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsThe major crane accident that took place in the sets of Shankar's Indian 2 had claimed the lives of three crew members, which include the film's assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandran and production assistant Madhu.
Speaking about it in a recent press meet during which a compensation of about 4 crore rupees were provided to the grieving families, Director Shankar shared his condolences for the families of the deceased.
Kamal Haasan mentioned that the delay in the process of compensation was inevitably due to the COVID situation. He also said, "We have discussed about preventing such accidents, and it is our duty to not let that happen hereafter."
When asked if the movie shoot would continue at the same spot, Kamal Haasan replied, "Just because road accidents happen doesn't mean we would not get on the road. Similarly, we cannot stop shooting because of an accident - we have to think about the artists who are involved in this based on daily wage. But, if the director feels that he would have thoughts about the incident returning to the same place, that is a whole another issue - then it would definitely be taken under consideration."
