Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam, which was promulgated as a third front, did not win a single constituency in the recently concluded assembly elections. Kamal Haasan, the leader of the party, contested from the Coimbatore South constituency, where he too lost to BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan.

A few executives of the party - R Mahendran, S Muraganandam, Thangavel, Umadevi, CK Kumaravel, Sekar and Suresh Iyer (admin) had tendered their resignations post the election results were announced.

Now, the actor and politician, Kamal Haasan has released a video in which he has confirmed that he will be in politics for the rest of his life and also said as long as there is politics, there will be Makkal Needhi Maiam.

This video comes as an answer after netizens started to speculate that Kamal too like his other members would quit the party soon. Fans are lauding the actor for his bold statement and not budging out of politics.
