Kamal Haasan like so many actors, has fan clubs, but he transformed all of them into Narpani Iyakkam (Welfare Association) long ago. His fan clubs or welfare associations are always involved in socially responsible acts such as blood donation, eye donation, body donation etc.

Recently Kamal’s Welfare Association in Malaysia had participated in a blood donation camp and the actor proudly tweeted about the same. He said, “Proud of our Malaysian welfare association team's blood donation camp. It started 35years back in Tamilnadu & is now becoming International”.
