Marakkar : Arabikadilinte Simham is a Mollywood historical war film, directed by Priyadarshan. The film is based on the battles of Kunjali Marakkan IV against the Portugese. The historical film has an ensemble cast of Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Kalyani Priyadarshan and others.
Recently, Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of the director took to Twitter to announce that her portions for the film have been completed. She said, “Wrapped up my shoot for Marakkar. Two years ago, I never imagined I’d be working with Dad like this. From him shouting “Ammu, you’re not doing it right!”, when I was nervous on the first day to him shaking my hand saying “Superb! I don’t want to make a single cut in that shot”. I weirdly cherish everything. Love you Acha. Can’t wait for the world to see your Magnum Opus. Glad I got to be a small part of it.”
Replying to it, her father and director, Priyadarshan replied in what seems like an emotional Tweet. He said “Lik every father in dis world I too pray n try2 guide my daughter. Never i have imagined in my wildest dreams that I would b directing my daughter in a movie. Destiny has done it.Hard work pays for every one. that’s what I am proud of you Ammu , Being true to what you wish to do”
The film is proceeding with the shooting in full swing. It has music by Ronnie Raphael and S.Tirru has handled the camera. The project is bankrolled by Aashirvad Cinemas.
