“VIVEGAM FILM WILL BE MORE EXCITING THAN THE TEASER”

The first look and teaser of Nayanthara starrer Imaikkaa Nodigal were out and they have garnered good attention. An interesting feature in this film is that senior lyricist Kabilan and Kabilan Vairamuthu are in charge of the lyrics department. We talked to Kabilan Vairamuthu to get more details.

When I was in college, Kabilan sir had come into the industry. He is much senior to me. Our names have confused people about whether it is junior or senior Kabilan’s work. It is a good thing that when both of us are working in a film, such confusion may not arise. I am very happy to be working with him in the same film.

Imaikkaa Nodigal
In Imaikkaa Nodigal, we are yet to finalize on the number of songs, but as of now, we both have written one song each.

Documentary film
I am also doing a documentary film Ilaignargal Ennum Naam with my friends where we have documented the experiences in a youth social movement in my college days. This will be very useful for current youth where we have talked about youth politics. We would release sometime this year.

Other projects
I have written three songs in Sathuranga Vettai 2- a theme number and 2 more and also have penned lyrics for Indrajith. In addition to these, I have written dialogues for a few films. I am also writing dialogues and lyrics for an untitled film with Arulkumaran who has worked with Kamal sir in his production. The film will be similar to the genre of Golisoda. It is shaping up well.  I am also happy that my debut film as a screenwriter, Kavan is in its 50th day today.

Vivegam
With respect to Vivegam, I can say one thing-the teaser was much exciting, but the film will be more exciting than the teaser. It is wonderful working with Ajith sir and Siva sir. I will share more about the film before the release.
