The movie is produced by Suriya under the banner of 2D Entertainment. Her latest movie was Thambi in Jeethu Joseph's direction. This movie marked the first project in which Jyothika shared screenspace with her brother-in-law Karthi.

Actress Jyotika, who started her acting career in Tamil from Vaali in 1999, has acted in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. She has acted in a number of movies as the lead actress before marrying Actor Suriya, and after a break she returned to acting with 36 Vayadhinile in 2015, and has been concentrating predominantly on strong and efficient Heroine Centric roles.
