The period film which will recreate the 1983 World Cup win for India, has Ranveer playing the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.
Kollywood Actor Jiiva, who's making his Bollywood debut with this movie, will be seen portraying the role of Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
On Ranveer Singh's birthday, the 'Gypsy' actor extended his wishes to him. Calling him "India's powerhouse", Jiiva said, "You have accomplished amazing things, and it is all by pushing yourself harder and harder. It is that commitment we all love." He also shared some unseen pictures from the sets of '83' and it's safe to say that their bromance was brimming! Take a look!
On the workfront, Jiiva will be next seen in 'Methavi'. Ranveer Singh, who was last seen in 'Gully Boy' (2019) has a host of movies in the pipeline including the untitled 'Anniyan' remake with Director Shankar, 'Sooryavanshi', 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' and 'Cirkus'.
