Jayaram pulled out of Muthu ft Superstar Rajinikanth

However, did you know the powerhouse performer turned down a role in Rajinikanth's Muthu, which was eventually played by Sharath Babu? Yes, in Jayaram's own words, he developed cold feet when a scene required him to slap Superstar on screen and didn't think he could do it. "I don't know him that well," he was quoted as saying in an interview to Rediff, adding, "Besides if I had slapped Rajni in Muthu, his fans would have taken me apart!"

However, we must say that we are quite surprised that he was okay with slapping Kamal Haasan in Thenali. To this, Jayaram was quoted as reasoning, "I've worked with Kamal before, in Chanakyan. And am quite comfortable with him."
