Isaignani Ilayaraja paid his last respects to renowned Tabla player Mr. Kanniah, who was a major part of the music composer's troupe for over forty years.
Ilayaraja had started his illustrious career as music director with the 1976 Sivakumar-starrer Annakili and has composed music for over 7000 songs in more than 1000 films. Kanniah had worked with the maestro for over 40 years.
The veteran musician had collaborated with Ilayarja on numerous musical projects. Kanniah passed away in his residence in Chennai. Ilayaraja went to pay his final tribute to the percussionist at 6 A.M in the morning.
