Gaana Singer Isaivani, Vijay TV serial actor Raju Jeyamohan, costume designer Mathumitha, transgender beauty queen Namitha Marimuthu, YouTuber and movie reviewer Abishek Raja, TV anchor Priyanka Deshpande, Actor and Agriculturist Abhinay Vaddi, Model and Actress Pavni Reddy, folk singer Chinna Ponnu, model and social media star Nadia Chang, Actor Varun, TV anchor Imman Annachi, model and basketball player Suruthi, model and beauty pageant winner Akshara Reddy, singer-songwriter Iykki Berry, folk singer Thamarai Selvi, Actor Ciby Chandran and entrepreneur-cum-acting aspirant Niroop were the 18 contestants who made a grand entry into the Bigg Boss Tamil house.

While the house was the hub of entertainment during the first week inside Bigg Boss Tamil 5, things started to get intense as each contestant came forward to narrate their stories of struggle and how they reached this popular reality show. During the end of first week, transgender beauty queen Namitha Marimuthu left the show due to unforeseen reasons. The second week saw the house's first nomination. Except for Pavani Reddy and Thamarai Selvi, who is the current captain of the house, all the others were nominated by the contestants.

During Saturday's episode (October 16), Kamal Haasan spoke about the week's events including Thamarai Selvi's captaincy and the altercation that she had with Chinna Ponnu about the same. Dicussions about the task 'Oru Kadha Sollatuma' task too continued with the Actor-Politician noting the incidents that related to him the most. He also spoke to Isaivani regarding what made her feel left out. Most importantly, he announced that Priyanka, Akshara, Raju Jeyamohan, Niroop, Isaivani Suruthu, Ciby, Iykki Berry, Abhinay Vaddi and Imman Annachi were saved from being eliminated.

With Kamal Haasan all set to announce the person who's set to be eliminated from the house at the end of today's episode (October 17), we hear that Model and Social media star Nadia Chang has been eliminated as the first contestant from Bigg Boss. It is to be noted that Abishek, Mathumitha, Varun, Chinnaponnu and Nadia Chang are in danger zone. However, we'll only know it for sure during tonight's episode. Stay tuned!
