"My 'Angadi Theru' movie's dream is slowly coming true. I would have explained the difficulties of employees standing for long house and how they develop varicose veins because of this through my movie. My sincere thanks to the Tamil Nadu government," he said after a law was brought in to be passed in the state Assembly on September 13.

In an exclusive interview to Behindwoods, Director Vasanthabalan said, "The crowds will be coming continuously inside stores. For one person, at least 60 sarees need to be shown before which the next customer will be ready in the queue. They cannot go to the bathroom or take a break to sit. When I was working on the script, Writer Jeyamohan mentioned about varicose veins. So we decided to cast a hero who has that condition."

The director said he sees the law as a 'New Dawn' for the employees. "The government has been taking note of minute details and making changes in the society which is commendable."

Meanwhile, the director's 'Jail' with GV Prakash Kumar is long-delayed to release, and fans are eager to catch the film.
