Karthi's Kadaikutty Singam, which hit the screens, last Friday, is running with packed houses, and the family audiences have seemed to connect well with the film and its emotions.

The film has now got an appreciation from the national politician and India's Vice President, Mr Venkaiah Naidu. He made it even special by tweeting in Tamil. He posted, "சமீபத்தில் தெலுங்கு மொழியில் வெளியான "சின்னபாபு" (தமிழில் "கடைக்குட்டி சிங்கம்") திரைப்படத்தைப் பார்த்தேன். கிராமத்து பசுமை பின்னணியில், நம் பழக்க வழக்கங்களை, மரபுகளை மற்றும் வாழ்க்கை முறையை, ஆபாசம் இல்லாமல் காட்டிய சுவாரசியமான நல்ல படம். #KadaiKuttySingam #Chinababu @Karthi_Offl"
 

The tweet is roughly translated as, "Happened to see 'Chinna Babu' (Kadaikutty Singam in Tamil) recently. It was a neatly made, good film that talked about our culture, tradition, roots and human values."
