Starting his debut in Naalaya Theerppu in 1992, he has come a long way, having been part of 61 films in a career spanning more than two decades (25 golden years to be more precise). It is sheer hard work, determination, and never-say-die attitude of the actor that had catapulted him to the height that he is in today. It is not just the professional success that marks this star, but his humility and affection towards his fans, have given him a firm pedestal in their hearts.

Vijay is someone who is acutely aware of what is happening in the society and his recent appeal on the farmer’s plight in behindwoods gold medals award function is a testimony to that.
