STR's upcoming movie Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven directed by Sundar.C is produced by Lyca Productions. With respect to the release of the movie, few days back, STR released a video on social media in which he requested fans to celebrate the release of his film in a huge manner, place many banners, cut-outs and do milk abishekam for cut-outs not using milk packets but cans. This was after his video requesting fans not to do place any cut-outs, banners was mocked in the internet.
Following the video, the State president of Tamilnadu Milk Dealers Welfare Association, S A Ponnusamy filed a complaint against the actor at the commissioner's office who said,"We must lead the younger generation in the right way. So, we've requested the police to take action against Simbu. Paal Abhishekam for cut-outs should be banned."
Today, Simbu had met with the press and had said,"Negative statements will become viral easily and that's why I told so." He insisted everyone to watch the video again to undertsand what he said. He added,"I didn't tell fans to do milk abishekam by pouring milk from cans."
He then told,"I meant fans to serve milk in cans to people who come for watching the movie in theatres, people who are in need of help." STR is awaiting the release of his film, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven is releasing on February 1.
