IS KAMAL HAASAN'S RECENT FILM REMADE IN HOLLYWOOD?

We all know Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain, which was a story about an ageing Superstar, who is counting his last few days of life. The film, directed by Ramesh Aravind and written by Kamal Haasan, was highly praised for its strong emotions and lively performances. The film was even screened at many International Film Festivals.
 

Now, it looks like a Hollywood film has been made on the same storyline. The primary core plot is believed to be mightily inspired from Uttama Villain; while the main story is written by Brett Haley and Marc Basch. This Hollywood film is titled as 'The Hero', directed by Brett Haley, starring Sam Elliott, Laura Prepon, Krysten Ritter, Nick Offerman and others.

The Hero was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2017, and its theatrical release is scheduled for June 9th, 2017. We need to wait and watch, if it has any connection with Uttama Villain after the movie releases.
