Meanwhile, there were reports that Superstar Rajinikanth would be doing one more film for Sun Pictures after Annaatthe, marking his fourth collaboration with the production company after Enthiran, Petta, and Annaatthe.
Tentatively being referred as Thalaivar 169, popular directors’ names like Karthik Subbaraj and Desingh Periyasamy (Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal fame) hit the headlines to helm this upcoming film.
Earlier too, Desingh had taken to his social media and shared that the news of him directing the Superstar is not true. He has again tweeted about it and put a full-stop to the rumours. Reports were rife that the director had confirmed saying that he would be directing the Superstar. His clarification tweet read, “No such conversations happened.Kindly request people not to post fake things. Thank you.”
