A team from Behindwoods recently visited the sets of Vikram's upcoming action entertainer Saamy 2. A song shoot was taking place, and we interacted with the film's crew at their location. When we caught up with director Hari, he had some interesting things to share. 

"We are now shooting for a song featuring Vikram and Aishwarya Rajesh. This is actually the opening song. For the first time, we're placing a duet song in the opening of a film, deviating from the usual hero introduction song. This has turned out as a duet song. It shows the love and bonding between Aarusaamy and Bhuvana (Vikram and Trisha from Saamy). DSP has done really well and the song has come out well. 

We had planned for a story continuation of Saamy. It involved a transfer for Saamy and a story taking place there, but I ended up using that idea for Singam. Now for Saamy, I have used a story I had made up for Singam's sequel. Vikram looks exactly how he used to look 15 years ago in Saamy. Such is his dedication. I feel like seeing the same Aarusamy I saw 15 years ago."
