There have been numerous rumors about Sangamithra's new heroine after Shruthi Haasan opted out of the magnum opus. It was widely speculated that Hansika would be replacing Shruthi in this Sundar C directorial. It is also to be noted that the team had a grand launch at Cannes Film Festival, which was attended by composer AR Rahman, Jayam Ravi, and Arya.

The recent update we hear from sources close to the team is that Hansika, as an option has been completely ruled out and that the team will be conducting a test shoot in the upcoming week with the whole technical team as it is a big project.

The replacement for Shruthi has been a big question for quite some time now, and we can expect an announcement very soon from the production side!
