HANSIKA AS A SCIENTIST WILL BE DIRECTED BY THIS POPULAR DIRECTOR! WHEN IS THE RELEASE?

Director R. Kannan will be helming the actress in an untitled film that is being tentatively referred to as "Production no 7" with Focus Films and Masala Pix production bankrolling the projects. Director R. Kannan has directed all types of stories like Jayamkondaan, Kanden Kadhalai, Settai, Ivan Thanthiran.

Currently, he is busy engaged with directing the Tamil remake of super hit Malayalam movie The Great Indian Kitchen. It is produced by a Mumbai-based production company. In it, Aishwarya Rajesh plays the female lead. Following this, he helms Kasethan Kadavulada which features Mirchi Shiva, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Priya Anand.

Next, R Kannan will be directing the popular genre - comedy horror fantasy film which is loved by all families today. The film stars Hansika Motwani in the lead role. Jointly produced by Masala Pix production and Focus Films, the film will be new to Tamil cinema and fans will have a brand new experience watching it. 

Hansika Motwani plays the role of Nethra, a young scientist in the film. A bigscience lab is being set up at ECR in Chennai for this film for a huge cost. For this film, R. Kannan teams up with a VFX company.

Balasubramaniem will be handling the cinematography for the film while dialogues will be penned by Siddharth Subhavenkat. Kabil Vairamuthu pens the lyrics for the songs. Details of the cast and crew of the film will be officially announced soon.

The film's pooja started today and financier Mahindra Nihar turned on the camera. The film is set to release on August 15, 2022.
