Mersal is in its final stages of production and the film has already been widely expected by both, Vijay fans and the general audience.
The Kerala rights of Mersal have now been secured by Global United Media (GUM) for a huge price. They have earlier distributed blockbuster films like Baahubali 2. Mersal's producer Hema Rukmani confirmed this news with her tweet, "Happy to associate with @gumediacompany. Wishing #Keralavijayfans a Mersal diwali @ThenandalFilms @actorvijay @MuraliRamasamy4 @#tsl100"
After distributing biggies like I and Baahubali (1 & 2), Global United Media would be releasing Mersal in a wide number of screens throughout Kerala on the festive day of Diwali.
