Director Vijay helms this flick. Sometime back, when Arvind Swami’s pictures as MGR had released, people were amazed at how closely he resembled the former actor-politician.
The trailer of the movie was released on March 23, Kangana Ranaut's birthday. The trailer received rave reviews. Kangana Ranaut said that it was very challenging to act in the biopic of the epic leader at the press meet that was held.
Samuthirakani plays MGR's close friend, RM Veerappan. The crew released a photo of Samuthirakani sitting with a mirror next to Arvind Swami. The photo got also widely circulated on the Internet.
The first song of the film, Mazhai Mazhai, is set to be out tomorrow. Kangana Ranaut's photo from the song has been released and is becoming a rage among the fans.
