RIP: PADMA SHRI AWARD WINNING FASHION DESIGNER PASSES AWAY- CELEBRITIES PAY TRIBUTES

The fashion designer's death has sent shockwaves to the Indian film and modelling industry, with several condolence messages pouring in on social media. Actor Arjun Rampal tweeted "This is such sad sad news, a beautiful human and such a talented designer, the fashion industry and the world has lost today. It was such joy whenever I met him. His smile always made me smile,you will be missed Wendell. Condolences and prayers for all  your loved ones.

Tamil actress and former Bigg Boss 3 contestant Kasturi Shankar also reacted to the demise of Wendell Rodricks. The actress tweeted "Shocked. Sadenned. Amazing designer, activist, environmentalist, gay rights activist, Goa"s own, India's pride one of my personal favorites padmasri Wendell Rodricks is no more. Heaven will now be his runway."

Wendell Rodricks has won many accolades and awards for his work in the fashion industry, which include the Padma Shri award and the French honour Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres Award. Wendell Rodricks was a staunch supporter of eco-friendly clothing and gay rights.
