Manu Gopal has compared Palarivattam's poorly constructed bridge to Soft 'Puttu', Kerala's very own breakfast dish - steamed ground-rice cylinders. He named the dish as Palarivattam Puttu, meaning the dish is as soft that it crumbles with a single touch, in reference to the construction of the Palarivattam bridge. His comment is said to be gone viral and a much-discussed topic on social media recently.

Many people have commented on the humor sense of the writer. Manu Gopal along with Meharali Poyilungal Ismail who is currently associated in the movie Munthirimonchan has been working in the advertising industry for 20 years.
