Director Sathyan Anthikad, whose Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Jomonte Suvisheshangal' was supposed to release on 16th December, says that the time Exhibitor's Federation chose to go on strike was not good. He says that Onam, Vishu and Christmas are the three festive seasons in Kerala. The government should declare that no association connected to film industry can go on strike during these periods, no matter what the reasons are. Cinema is a form of enjoyment for the small families in Kerala, they should not be robbed of their rights.
Delaying the release of Malayalam movies during this Christmas season has only resulted in loss. Not just the Producers, but every technician and artists of the four movies had to go through a lot of stress as their movies were not allowed to release, they failed to cash in the opportunities of a festive season, the government too lost the income that would've come as taxes.
