“AND THE REST CAN WATCH THE SO CALLED INTELLECTUAL FILMS WHICH BANKRUPT THEIR PRODUCERS!”

Cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, who got to watch SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in an IMAX theatre, is all praise for the work done in one of India’s most epic films by Rajamouli, Prabhas and team. Ravi, took to his social media handle to express his thoughts and views on the movie. His post had the following words:

“Watched Bahubali 2 at the IMAX in its full glory.. and amongst the cheering crowd.
First thing first .. I just LOVED THE FILM… After working in this industry for the past 30 years as a DoP, when I watch a film,subconsciously I tend to notice all the bad camera moves, edits, loud sound design, ham acting all that.

But when I watched Bahubali 2 I forgot everything which is a part of my natural instinct. I was not watching this film with my intellect, artistic, egoistic mind which is familiar with the international art house films. Strangely I watched it with all the innocence of my childhood and naive mind .. likethewide eyed audience surrounding me..like a child listening to that fantasy... a warrior story narrated by the grandma... a common film lover in me came alive. That's the magic of Rajamouli's vision. He took me in to his world and with powerful female characters and dramatic story telling.

He is blessed with super talented dedicated actors and a technical crew.Aboveall he had great producers who trusted him blindly. Rest is history. A pan India super hit, with totally unknown actors for the rest of the nation. There is no Rajini ,Kamal ,SRK, Salman or Aamir. There is are no festival seasons like Eid or Diwali. This film already created history in collections without all that factors. After all film making is also business too, the producer should make money. Only then our industry can survive. People who belong to this industry can run their families.

Success matters. The success of this film entirely belongs to Rajamouli and his mastery of dramatic story telling with plenty of emotion... hats off to him. Please go watch it soon. And rest can watch the so called intellectual films which bankrupt their producers on Netflix for 800 rupees a month.”
