Yaar Ivan, a mystery thriller film directed by Tatineni Satya, starring Esha Gupta and Sachiin J Joshi in the lead roles has released in theatres today, 15th of September. During a recent interaction with Behindwoods, director Sathya said that Mani Ratnam is his inspiration and wanted to do at least 10% of what he has accomplished. "Even when I was small, I used to spend money and watch a film in theatre only for Mani sir's film. I used to get inspired by seeing Mani sir's film. In fact, the process continues till OK Kanmani. I am still watching and learning from his films."
However, when hero Sachiin Joshi stopped to say that Tatineni Sathya is a bad narrator, Sathya replied, "yes, in fact, Mani sir is a bad narrator too, he can't narrate and tell us this is how it should be. He is an established filmmaker now, and whatever he says, it stands on screen but to reach that position, you need experience."
