Actor Vishal was earlier seen contesting the 2019 Nadigar Sangam elections for the post of General Secretary. The present election witnessed a tough battle between the Nasser-lead Pandavar Ani, of which Vishal is a member, and the K. Bhagyaraj-led Swami Sankaradas Ani.
The actor had recently played the lead role in Ayogya, the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Temper, helmed by Venkat Mohan. Despite facing last minute difficulties, the film opened up to a good response amongst critics and audience.
Meanwhile, the actor had already resumed shooting for an untitled project with director Sundar C. The film's earlier schedules were canned in the exotic locations of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
