It's been raining deaths in Kollywood in recent times and this has plunged a lot of people into darkness. Recently, musician and director Gangai Amaran lost his beloved Manimekalai, who happens to be the mother of Venkat Prabhu and Premgi as well. Yesterday, director Arunraja Kamaraj lost his wife Sindhuja to covid-related complications. She was just 38. Actor Nitish Veera who appeared in Asuran amongst other films also passed away due to complications from contracting coronavirus. He was 45.
Not just celebrities, but people close to celebrities have also passed away, bringing in gloom. Now, director Shankar's mother has passed away. Shankar's mom, S Muthulakshmi, passed away due to age-related ailments today. She was 88. Many have been conveying their condolences to the celebrated director, who on the professional front has works with Ram Charan and Ranveer Singh in the pipeline.
