Since then it was no looking back for the director-actor duo as the film went on to become a box office success.
Apart from running for over 175 days at theatres, Gentleman also won four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Right from the film’s plot to its evergreen songs which are still favourites for many, this film had deeply etched into the hearts of millions.
