Reports surfacing on social media claimed that Dhanush was seriously injured last night while filming an important action sequence for Maari 2. While there was a confusion prevailing over the same, the VIP actor took to Twitter to clarify that everything is fine.
Dhanush tweeted, "My beloved dear fans ... It’s not a major injury and I’m well. Thank you so much for your concern prayers and love. Im forever grateful. Love you all. My pillars of strength."

Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have been involved in the shoot of Vada Chennai for some time now. The breaking update about the film is that the trailer of the film will release on 28th July. The producer of the film, Dhanush has also revealed that the film will release in September.
He took to Twitter to announce this: "#VadaChennai part 1 trailer will be launched on 28th July & the movie will be a September release.
